Are You Ready For National Train Your Dog Month?

January is National Train Your Dog Month, we promote training the family dog with everyday manners – the behaviors found by graduates from local dog training companies, such as The Action Pack Dog Center in Round Rock, Texas.
Have you ever tried to train your dog? If so, you know that it's difficult because many Pet Parents lack the time, the money and general know how. So what do you do? Many people have found success by using a local dog training companies. But there are a few things you should know before you buy and implement a dog training program to ensure long term success. This post will tell you what you need to know to make sure you select the right dog trainer that will let you successfully train your dog.
  • Make sure your dog trainer teaches the "basics" - sit, down, stay, wait, coming when called and walking on a loose leash. If they don't, you'll have trouble getting your dog to listen to you if you find yourself in a potentially dangerous situation.
  • Ensure your dog trainer has a Facebook or Twitter  groups so you can chat with other Pet Parents about tips & tricks and read success stories online. It's a great way to connect with Pet Parents in your neighborhood.
  • The trainer should never use physical punishment. Training should never include hitting, kicking, jerking and popping the leash.
While not necessary, some bonus features of a great dog trainer are continuing education, providing a list of clients to contact, and provide free follow up visits to ensure client satisfaction.
Now that you know how to choose a dog trainer, you're ready to be the pack leader without worrying about undesirable behavior. The key is to make training a part of your everyday life with your dog.

Petsbedz is waterproof and comfortable, designed to work with a MonoFoil Antimicrobial spray, which will keep your pet’s bed smelling and looking fresh for months, not hours.

“Even dog lovers don’t love cleaning a traditional dog bed, it is time consuming, you end up stinking and your washing machine becomes covered in hair” says PETpreneur Casey Grant continuing, “Petsbedz will put an end to that, they are comfortable, functional, waterproof, and most importantly you can keep them clean by adding a layer of protection by spraying them with pet safe MonoFoil Antimicrobial in 90 seconds.”

Petsbedz are stylish and come in a variety of styles and sizes to match Pet Parent’s personality. Their unparalleled comfort and function will make them a hit with pet’s and their parents alike.

MonoFoil cleaning pads are medical grade cleaning products used by hospitals for long lasting sterilization, and proven anti-microbial technology. The U.S. EPA has registered the base and certified it as safe, making it a safe and reliable way to clean your Petsbedz.

Petsbedz Inc is a leader in Pet Comfort Technologies. As the inventor and manufactured of the first quick wash dog bed, which Pet Parents can wash and dry in under 90 seconds. The Petsbedz is waterproof, durable, and is powered by the MonoFoil Antimicrobial system to keep your dog’s bed clean for months, not days.

Local Holiday Gift Guide by Twenty Something Indy

Twenty Something Indy created an amazing Local Holiday Gift Guide. I personally own 3 Recycled T-Shirt Infinity Scarf with Jersey Flower by Blue Eyes and Bare Feet. I've bought multiple necklaces, earnings, several custom owl hats (for all my nieces) from Retro101 (Seriously, once your on the bus, your ON the bus!) My most favorite face wash is created by Frangipani and it smells heavenly.  One of my very favorite things was when On a Good Note Designs created the most precious mugs for me. I love to give them away throughout the year.
Did you find some great local gifts this year?

The Best Thing I've Ever Ate

I'm shocked that my favorite meal hasn't been featured on the Food Networks "The Best Thing I've Ever Ate" because it is truly that amazing.

Drum roll please.....Introducing the world famous, one of a kind, best thing I ever ate was cheesy stuffed, crispy fried, fire roasted chili relleno smothered and covered in a spicy green pork chili sauce with a side of cool sour cream and ripe avocado to cool it down a bit.

So if your ever visiting Colorado, head down to The Brewery Bar 1, 2 or 3 and enjoy one of life's simple pleasures. Oh and don't forget the margaritas!

A few favorite moments of 2012

I Interviewed 3 people about their favorite moments of the year.

I interviewed my web designer, my
husband/business partner and my cousin in California. 2012 has a predominant and reoccurring theme...FAMILY. Our families are so spread throughout the world, there is no substitute for a hug and a glad to see you by a loved one you haven't seen in years.

I miss my grandparents dearly. With them being gone, I never thought I'd be able to hear their voice or hear them laugh. However I found a USB stick from my grandparents computer that I never downloaded because it never felt like the right time & I knew it would be painful. Low and behold pictures and videos of my two favorite people, plus I able to hear my grandma and grandpa talking and laughing...I just sat here bawling for hours...priceless.
